In collaboration with the Whitworth, esea contemporary hosts an evening of collective reading inspired by Slavs and Tatars: The Contest of the Fruits. Guests are invited to journey through Attar of Nishapur’s Persian classic The Conference of the Birds, a timeless tale of desire, struggle, and discovery as a council of birds seek the legendary Simurgh. Led by curators Valentin Diaconov and Jo-Lene Ong, the session weaves voices across continents and centuries in dialogue with the exhibition.
